Moldavite is a Tektite that was produced when a meteor crashed near the Moldau River, into what is today Czechoslovakia, over 15 million years ago. It is somewhat rare and is the only "gem quality" stone (known to exist at this time) that is of extra-terrestrial origins. Tektites are a natural glass of meteoric origin. When held under the light, we see light to dark hues of forest green within this glassy meteorite. Gracefully encased in swirls of Silver, this pendant measures 1x5/8" including the bail, and will make a wonderful centerpiece to enhance your own collections or a wonderful addition to your collection of rare, Moldavite jewelry.
